TMZ is reporting that Kevin Hart was involved in a car crash early Sunday morning (Sept. 1). The Night School actor is said to have suffered “major back injuries” after his Plymouth Barracuda veered off Mulholland Highway and landed in a ditch in Malibu.

In a police report, Hart “left the scene to his nearby residence to get medical attention,” reports Us Weekly.

TMZ obtained video footage of the incident, where the comedian’s car be seen in a gully with the roof completely removed from the vehicle. Hart was a passenger in the car and the police report says that the person driving was not under the influence of alcohol.

Hart and the driver both suffered injuries. There was a third person in the car, a woman, who was not harmed. The police report also says that Hart was picked up by a member of his security team in an SUV and taken home to receive medical attention. He was later treated at a local hospital.

On Saturday morning (Aug. 30), the comedian posted a video of himself in a vintage car.

Hart is known to have an obsession with vintage rides. In December 2018, he treated his entire team to classic muscle cars to celebrate the end of his Irresponsible Tour.

“So the tour is over, and I told my guys I was going to do something special for them. They had no idea what it was. I just surprised my whole team with old schools,” Hart revealed in a video posted to social media, before panning over to reveal eight vehicles and members of his crew.

“I mean it when I say I love my team, I would not be where I am or who I am today if it wasn’t for my team. We’re celebrating, and I love the fact that they’re gone. They’re blown away, and for me, that’s all I needed, nothing else,” he continued.
