In 1996, JAY-Z released his debut effort, Reasonable Doubt. Today (Aug. 16), the album makes an appearance on several streaming services.

Currently, the rapper’s acclaimed debut can be streamed on YouTube Music Premium, Amazon Music, Google Play Music, iHeartRadio, iTunes, Napster, Pandora, Slacker, SoundCloud, Tesla and TIDAL. Unfortunately for Spotify and Apple Music users, they weren’t as lucky. Back in 2015, JAY-Z introduced TIDAL, which had exclusive streaming rights to the Brooklyn spitter’s complete discography.

In a statement, President of Equity Distribution, Krystian Santini, spoke on the latest news regarding Jay’s LP. “Reasonable Doubt is one of the preeminent albums in history and we’re thrilled to distribute this classic body of work to music lovers worldwide,” Santini said. “This is a landmark milestone for Equity Distribution and we look forward to continuing to expand our platform and collaborate with talented artists from different backgrounds.”

Back in 2017, Jay said on social media that Reasonable Doubt saved his life. One year after the album’s debut, Jay explained how he landed on the title. “We named the album Reasonable Doubt because you know, with anything you do in life, people will judge you,” JAY-Z said. “Whether it be interviews or radio or whatever you do in life people will judge you. The album is like basically on trial. You either going to like it or you don’t.”

More recently, hip-hop’s first billionaire partnered with the NFL. Moving forward, Jay is hopeful that the deal will bring about social change. The NFL’s Commissioner, Roger Goodell, stated that he respects Jay’s honesty and creativity.
