Earlier today (Aug. 12), fans received news that City Girls will release new music sooner than later.
On JT’s Instagram, a photograph of a passport was uploaded. The passport hints at a release date for the upcoming project. “8/16/19/. #ControlTheStreetsVol2,” the caption reads. Back in June, Quality Control co-founder, Pierre “Pee” Thomas, hinted at JT’s release from prison. ” JT will be home within the next 90 days,” Pee told radio personality Supa Cindy during their interview.
Back in July of 2018, JT turned herself in to Florida’s Federal Correctional Institution for fraudulent charges. Her release date, as per the federal government’s inmate locator, is set for March 21, 2020.
Following JT’s arrest, Yung Miami has been doing her best to keep things afloat for the rap duo. Unfortunately, Yung Miami was recently the target of a drive-by shooting near Circle House Studios. The 25-year-old rapper was reportedly leaving the studio when her vehicle was hit from behind. As the days go on, Miami is doing her best to cope with the situation at hand. “Keep looking at my pictures & all my mentions like it really could’ve been R.I.P,” Miami wrote on her Instagram Story. “I’m really not okay!”
Thankfully, Yung Miami and her unborn child left the tragic event unharmed. Miami is expecting with producer, Southside, and they are both very happy. In an Instagram post, Miami stated that pregnancy is beautiful. The 25-year-old is looking forward to welcoming her second child into the world.
“I did everything they said I couldn’t because that’s just the type of woman I am and going to continue to be,” she said. “Pregnancy is a beautiful thing and life-changing, so I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for the City Girls!”
