Jermaine Dupri is making headlines for yet another controversial comment. This time, the comment involves Lil Nas X.

Last month, Lil Nas X’s breakthrough hit, “Old Town Road” became the longest-running No. 1 in Billboard chart history after spending 17 weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart. “Old Town Road” broke the record first set by Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men’s “One Sweet Day.”

Yesterday (Aug. 7), Dupri retweeted Billboard’s tweet regarding records that spent the most weeks at No. 1 on the Hot 100 chart. Based on the So So Def musician’s comment, fans assumed that Dupri was referencing Lil Nas X.

“No!! You can’t sit with us,go sit over there and based on the stats and this chart @mariahcarey is the greatest song writer in history,” Dupri wrote.

In another tweet, the 46-year-old rapper clarified that he was not speaking about Lil Nas X. “Why y’all think I’m talking to him ? Stop making s–t up, he’s on the list and he from Atlanta, I’m taking to all the n—as that discredit me,this list is the biggest songs in history and I’m on it !!” he wrote.

This isn’t the first time that Dupri has found himself in hot water. Last month, during a conversation with PEOPLE, Dupri made a “strippers rapping” remark when asked about female rappers of today.

“There’s a million artists rapping,” Durpi said in an effort to explain his controversial comment. “There’s a million female artists that’s out here rapping. Everybody continues to keep getting…what my statement was, was about the three that she asked me about. It wasn’t about a general conversation about female rap, but everybody turned it into that. ‘He said all female rappers sound like this!’ And I’m like, ‘I never said all female rappers. I never said that one time.’”
