Chance The Rapper is tooting his own horn.

While speaking with Zane Lowe in an interview published yesterday (Aug. 2), the Chicago rapper revealed that he didn’t pick the greatest theme when working on his debut album, The Big Day. After reflecting on his debut effort, Chano reveals that his 2013 project, Acid Rap, is the best album of all time.

“When I first started working on the album, the concept, the theme,” Chance begins. “We have school, we have acid, we have faith and family, and the fourth one — really the first one — the concept was ‘Best Album Of All Time’. And that’s not really a good concept to make an album. It gives you no direction.” When asked by Lowe to name the greatest album of all time, Chance replies: “To me, personally, the best album of all time … Acid Rap.”

The recently-married spitter explains that an album is great when a listener is able to dance to it. The 26-year-old rapper reiterates that an album needs to be fun and entertaining. “You have to be able to dance to it,” he said. “The best album is not something that I need to listen to with reading glasses.”

Last week, Chance announced “The Big Day” tour. The 35-date trek will visit many cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, Detroit, Miami, Las Vegas and more. The tour will begin mid-September and wrap up a little into November.

More recently, Chance made a surprise visit to a fan who continues to make a difference in her community. Chance was so impressed by her activist efforts that he wanted to thank her in-person.

“I was so moved by Edna’s story, I wanted to thank her myself for making such a positive change after experiencing something so difficult,” he wrote as his Instagram caption. “I’ll be at #WEday with my friends @WEmovement on August 9th at 8/7c on @ABCnetwork to speak about @socialworks_chi and to celebrate youth who are making a difference in the world. #SocialWorks.”
