Throughout JAY-Z’s career, he’s released a handful of hits. For his latest accomplishment, Jay has officially become the fourth-ever rapper to receive 100 solo appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to a Billboard article published yesterday (July 30), Jay is the sixth artist with 100 appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the platform’s 60-year existence. Beyoncé’s “Mood 4 Eva,” which features the Roc Nation mogul and Childish Gambino, gave Jay his 100th appearance on the chart. The track is featured on Queen Bey’s Lion King movie soundtrack, The Lion King: The Gift.

Other rap artists with at least 100 solo appearances include Nicki Minaj (103), Lil Wayne (163) and Drake (196). Ironically, the Brooklyn rapper isn’t the only Carter celebrating a Billboard victory this week. Beyoncé and Jay’s daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, received her first Hot 100 chart entry with “Brown Skin Girl” from The Lion King: The Gift album.

In more Jay-related news, he is set to produce a new Netflix film, The Harder They Fall. Jay will join forces with James Lassiter and Lawrence Bender to produce the visual. This isn’t the first time that the “Song Cry” rapper has put on his producer hat. Back in 2017, he produced TIME: The Kalief Browder Story. The six-part docuseries shed light on a teenager who killed himself after spending two years in solitary confinement.

In addition to that, Jay serves as the executive producer for Meek Mill’s upcoming five-part docuseries, “Free Meek.” The docuseries is set to premiere next month and will shed light on Meek’s effort with the criminal justice system. In a recent interview with Gayle King, Jay revealed that it’s easy working with the Philly spitter since they both come from similar backgrounds.

“We come from the same neighborhoods, been through the same things – with not the exact same story obviously – but we’ve been through some of the same things, some of the same struggles,” JAY-Z said while speaking on his joint record label, Dream Chasers, with Meek. “And, again, like I said, that responsibility is not lost on us.”

Congrats to JAY-Z on his latest achievement.
