Over the weekend, Meek Mill had a few things up his sleeve while performing in his hometown.

The Philly MC took the stage at a nightclub called NOTO Philadephia. During his performance, Meek brought out his 9-year-old son, Rihmeek, to spit his best bars. It’s safe to say that the old saying is true: “Like father, like son.” In the video obtained by TMZ, Meek’s son spits his bars with ease and confidence. At the end of his freestyle, Rihmeek was awarded nonstop praise from both the audience and his proud father.

In more Meek-related news, the Lids co-owner has been living his best life. More recently, he announced that he is off probation from his 2008 conviction and has been granted a new trial. Thankfully, he will have the opportunity to create more adorable moments with his son. During an interview with Gayle King, the 32-year-old rapper revealed the hardships he faced while on parole. This included not being able to pick up his son from school.

“My son lived in New Jersey, but I lived in Philadelphia, and the bridge is a 15-minute ride,” he said. “It’s just a bridge. I couldn’t go get my son from school when I wanted to, ’cause you know, some days I would get off work early. I would just have a free day, and I would just want to pop up at my son’s school and get him from school. I’d been out of town for two weeks in a row workin’. Can’t really do it.”

Last week, Meek announced that he teamed up with JAY-Z’s Roc Nation to form a joint record label, Dream Chasers. Meek is looking forward to working with the Brooklyn spitter and expanding his brand.

“Coming into the music industry, of course, there’s always the people you admire, there’s not too many people I admire on a music level and a business level and on like, as a man level,” he began. “So doing business with Hova is like, like even when we talk I always explain it to him like that that was crazy, it’s a regular day for you but this is a part of my dreams being in this situation.”
