The big day for Chance The Rapper is finally here. Ironically, that doesn’t involve his debut album.
When the clock struck midnight, fans patiently waited for the release of Chance’s album, The Big Day. After checking popular streaming sites such as Apple Music and TIDAL, fans noticed that the Chicago rapper’s debut effort was missing.
“So we really going to bed without chance the rapper album,” one fan wrote.
“Chance The Rapper We’re only gonna ask you once #TheBigDay,” another fan wrote.
Yesterday (July 25), Chance hinted that he was unfazed by today’s date. “What’s tmw,” he wrote. Last night, Chance threw a party to celebrate The Big Day. While on social media, he informed fans that admission is free.
“Chicago fans, I’m throwing a party with @Spotify Thursday night to celebrate the release of my debut album and I’m inviting fans, friends and family. Admission is free but it’s first come first served so RSVP at this link right now,” Chano wrote.
Chance has a lot to celebrate this month. The Lion King, which features Chance as the voice of a baby bush, is currently the No. 1 movie in the world. Nonetheless, Chance shared how grateful he is to be a part of the Jon Favreau-directed film.
“One day I’m there Jon asked me to do some singing stuff, another day he asks me to do some lines,” he recalled. “Its all a blur, but I’ll tell u its one of the best blurs of my whole life. I am so blessed to know people like Donald and Jon man. AMAZING FILM, AMAZING CAST AND AN AMAZING NIGGHT LAST NIGHT. GOD BLESS AND LONG LIVE THE KING.”
