A$AP Rocky could be reimbursed for millions depending on the results of Thursday’s decision.

According to a new report from TMZ, which was posted today (July 23), Sweden would owe the New York rapper millions if he’s found not guilty. In Sweden, if someone is charged and found not guilty, the country is responsible for the money the defendant lost during incarceration and the trial.

If this is true, Sweden is looking at a hefty bill. Previously, we reported that A$AP has spent a total of three weeks behind Swedish bars. After being called a flight risk, Rocky was forced to remain in jail. Since getting arrested earlier this month, Rocky has canceled several appearances. The “Fashion Killa” rapper has canceled over 12 shows and is booked for the month of September. Although it is unclear how much Rocky gets for each gig, TMZ estimates that it’s around $100,000.

Surprisingly, the man who attacked Rocky and his crew in Sweden will not face any charges. Prosecutors believe that the guy acted in a matter of self-defense. Although Rocky was taken into custody a day following the incident, the attacker was not. If Rocky is found guilty, he will face up to six years in Swedish prison.

Rocky’s mom, Renee Black, shared her thoughts on her son’s case. Black believes that Sweden is making an example out of her son. Despite Rocky not believing his case has anything to do with race, Black thinks differently. When asked about the race card, Renee told TMZ: “If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it’s a duck.” She also admitted that although she’s only spoken to her son once that Rocky sounds like he’s holding up.

Luckily, Rocky isn’t the only one holding up and his support system grows stronger. Fans in Sweden are posting “Free A$AP Rocky” posters around Stockholm.
