The Game ensured that his son, Harlem Taylor, had a birthday worth remembering. Over the weekend, the 39-year-old rapper threw his son an epic sweet 16 birthday party.
As per TMZ, The party featured performances from a variety of talent including Trippie Redd, Blueface and Tee Grizzley. In addition to the star-studded performances, the 16-year-old was gifted with a BMW.
Yesterday (June 30), the Los Angeles rapper shared a heartfelt birthday tribute for his eldest son on Instagram. He explained that Harlem has changed him for the better and taught him major life lessons.
“16 years ago today I became a father for the 1st time,” he began. “You are & have always been my strength & the true motivation behind everything that I have been able to achieve in my career & life. If you weren’t born who knows where I’d be in life, but I am 100% positive it wouldn’t be here, as I didn’t even know how to properly love or appreciate anything til I met you. 16 years later & wow… look at you !!! Smart, beautiful & everything I imagined you would be. We made it this far together & we’ve got a lifetime to go. Catch every tear, trace every step, listen as well as learn, love wholeheartedly & never stop loving you… not even for a split second is how I parent.”
Last month, the Documentary rapper announced that he would stop his daily posts paying homage to the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. He explained that his posts might be difficult for those mourning his friend.
“I think the best option for me at this point will be to maybe do [tributes] once a week & call it #MarathonMondays,” he wrote. “I will use the other 6 days of the week to continue giving you daily motivation and hope that it will give you the same fuel the previous posts have.”
