Dreamville season is upon us. Yesterday (June 26), J. Cole posted the trailer for his forthcoming documentary Dreamers.

“I had this idea, let’s go somewhere, lock-in, and invite a bunch of outside producers and artists to come f–k with us and make this album,” Cole says in the trailer.

Throughout the trailer, guest appearances are made by Bas, T.I., Smino, Buddy, Ari Lennox, Ski Mask the Slump God and more. Dreamers, which is slated to drop July 2, gives an exclusive look behind the process of making music. While keeping his fans in the loop, J. Cole revealed that the upcoming film is nostalgic for him.

“Every time I watch it I wanna time travel back to the sessions,” the “Nothing Lasts Forever” rapper wrote on Twitter.

Earlier this month, while speaking with Revolt TV, Mike Rooney revealed that the collective wanted to shoot a mini-film based on four of Cole’s previously released tracks.

“We had a project before The Warm Up where ‘Lights Please’ was supposed to go into ‘Lost Ones,’ which was supposed to go into ‘Confessions,’ which went into another record. It was supposed to be a four-part thing and they all tied into each other’s story,” Rooney revealed. “The girl from ‘Lights Please’ that wants to f–k and doesn’t care about any political issues then becomes pregnant in ‘Lost Ones.’ Then, ‘Confessions’ was J. Cole f–king around thinking how she’s f–king around and her being pregnant, and that kid not being his. We were going to shoot a mini-film and tie everything together.”

Moving forward, J. Cole is very busy this season. He is set to headline this year’s inaugural Las Vegas Festival alongside Kendrick Lamar and Travis Scott. The festival is scheduled for November and will include performances from 21 Savage, Lil Baby, Rico Nasty, Denzel Curry, Megan Thee Stallion, Juice WLRD, Miguel, J.I.D and more. Starting tomorrow (June 28), tickets will be up for sale with prices ranging from $299 to $899.
