When Drake said “I got more slaps than The Beatles,” he was manifesting things into existence. Today (June 25), Drake officially has more Billboard Hot 100 Top 10 Hits than The Beatles.

Drake’s latest song “Money in the Grave,” which features Rick Ross, has entered the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The new entry brings Drizzy to a total of 35 Top 10 hits, which beats The Beatles’ record of 34. The exciting news brings Drake to second place amongst artists with the most Top 10 hits ever. Madonna still leads with 38.

It’s not surprising how things can change in a matter of a week. Last week, the Toronto native tied The Beatles’ record thanks to his collaborative hit with Chris Brown for “No Guidance.”

The 6 God is no stranger to breaking records. Three months ago, during the 2019 Billboard Music Awards, Drake became the most awarded artist in the ceremony’s history.

Drizzy took home 12 awards, which brings his career to a total of 27. The 32-year-old rapper beat out top competitors for awards such as Top Artist, Top Male Artist, Top Streaming Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Billboard 200 Album for Scorpion, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Rap Artist, Top Rap Male Artist, Top Rap Album for Scorpion and Top Streaming Song (Video) for “In My Feelings.”

During his acceptance speech for Top Artist, Drake paid homage to his mother for her continuous support throughout his career.

“I want to thank my mom for all the times you drove me to piano when I didn’t want to take piano,” he said. “All the times you drove me to basketball and hockey — that clearly didn’t work out. All the times you drove me to Degrassi. No matter how long it took me to figure out what I wanted to do, you were always there to give me a ride, and now we’re on one hell of a ride.”

Luckily for fans, Drake doesn’t plan on stopping anytime soon. In a variety of photos uploaded to Instagram, Drake confirmed that he is in album mode.
