The sequel to Space Jam is already shaping up to be one of the most anticipated films in recent memory. The movie, which will arrive over two decades since its original hit theaters in 1996, has cast LeBron James in the leading role and is set to begin filming next month.

While the production is set to kick off this July, those involved with the film have been granted an incredible basketball court to practice on. As revealed on Instagram over the weekend, NBA superfan and real estate mogul James Goldstein has shared that his property been serving as host for James and other players from the NBA and WNBA participating in the film.

The “Club James” training facility, which is located on one of Goldstein’s properties, has an incredibly stunning view, providing an idyllic backdrop for those on the court. As Goldstein shared on Instagram, he first met James while he was in high school, making for quite an interesting full-circle moment.

Anthony Davis, Damian Lillard, Klay Thompson, Chris Paul and Diana Taurasi have officially signed on to partake in the franchise and will be joining James on the court. While filming is set to take place next month, it won’t hit theaters for another two years. At the time of this report, Space Jam 2 is slated for a release on July 16, 2021.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, James’ family arc will help influence the plot, with speculation surrounding a yet-to-be-cast teenage character named Dom as the second lead.

Back in 1995, Michael Jordan spent a summer filming the cultural landmark, balancing his time on set with practicing on a private court dubbed the “Jordan Dome.” The practice court featured some epic pick-up games featuring cast members, a tradition James is most likely going to keep going strong as filming for Space Jam 2 begins.
