Much like she rapped on “Get Up 10,” a cut from her Invasion to Privacy album, Cardi B certainly knows how to bounce back from essentially any situation or setback. As she exemplified on Sunday night (June 16), that also includes recovering flawlessly from a wardrobe malfunction.

During the Bronx rapper’s performance at the 2019 Bonnaroo Arts and Music Festival in Tenn., the multicolored rhinestone jumpsuit she was rocking split wide open along the back roughly ten minutes into her set. After the costume ripped, Cardi notified fans of what had happened. She then ran backstage to improvise how to proceed without having to end her performance early, returning back into the spotlight donning a white bathrobe.

“We gonna keep it moving, baby,” she said, assuring fans after returning to the stage. “We gonna keep it sexy. I don’t know how in this f–king robe, but we gonna do it!”

Cardi then continued on with her scheduled performance, donning the robe for the remainder of her set. During the festival set, her fans took to social media to praise her commitment to her following through despite the unfortunate fate of her chosen outfit.

Her performance at Bonnaroo marks one of the first few planned gigs she hasn’t been forced to postpone or cancel while recovering from liposuction and breast augmentation procedures on strict doctor’s orders. Last week, the Grammy Award-winning artist took to Instagram to inform her followers that she has no plans to get plastic surgery ever again. She also revealed that due to being forced to cancel a slew of performances, she was losing out on millions.

“I’m a money addict, and I get paid a lot of money, a lot of money for these shows … like I’m cancelling millions of dollars in shows,” she said last month. “But like, health is wealth, so I have to do what I have to do.”
