Kid Ink was the victim of a home burglary last week.
On Monday (May 27), law enforcement sources told TMZ the perpetrators made off with loads of cash and jewelry owned by the “Body Language” rapper.
On Thursday (May 23), Kid Ink (real name Brian Todd Collins) reportedly returned home to his Los Angeles pad when he noticed luggage scattered around his backyard. Upon further inspection, the 33-year-old rapper realized his home had been burglarized and the thieves made off with more than $200k worth of items.
According to TMZ, the home invasion went down without a hassle. Sources claim there was no sign of forced entry. Kid Ink reportedly left his backdoor unlocked which was the perfect opportunity for the thieves to go in and take whatever they wanted, including luxury purses and “an assortment of jewelry he had lying around the place.”
The police are currently investigating the incident and no suspects have been arrested at press time.
In related news, Soulja Boy’s Agoura Hills home was also recently burglarized while the rapper is currently behind bars. In that occurrence, the thieves reportedly made off with $500k in jewelry and $100k in cash.
Kid Ink has yet to comment on his home invasion. In December 2018, the Los Angeles native dropped a 7-track EP, titled Missed Calls, featuring cameos from Lil Wayne, Rich the Kid, and others.
While speaking to REVOLT earlier this month, the rapper explained the cover for the project, saying, “The picture [on] the cover is an old photo from my dad’s collection when I was younger.”
He went on to say, “It’s not really a lot of photos from that time when I was younger, especially from just my father’s side because he went to prison when I was around like 4 or 5 years old. So when he comes with pictures, it’s stuff I’ve never seen.”
