Right in the heart of festival season lies BET’s annual live music event, otherwise known as the BET Experience.

This year, the festivities have not been without some unfortunate setbacks stemming from a grave social media misstep that led Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne pulling out of the line-up. However, BET has since finalized its improvised line-up, confirming a series of acts as replacements for the previously scheduled Young Money cohorts.

As announced on Tuesday (April 23), this year’s BET Experience, which is set to take over the Staples Center June 20-22, will feature performances from Meek Mill, Blueface and YG.

The fresh additions will join an already-stacked line-up featuring Cardi B, Mary J. Blige, H.E.R., Migos, Lil Yachty, Lil Baby, Trippie Redd, City Girls, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, Bri Steves, Queen Naija and Summer Walker.

Per annual tradition, the BET Experience will coincide with the annual BET Awards, which are set to take place on June 23. The nominations and accompanying performances for the star-studded affair have yet to be announced. The 7th annual event will also feature seminars, a celebrity basketball game, meet and greets and other interactive experiences for attendees.

In related news, Minaj reportedly has parted ways with her longtime managers, leading fans to speculate the underlying cause for the change.

From pulling out of her engagement with the BET Experience due to the distasteful tweet to experiencing a slew of difficulties with her tour, Minaj’s career has been on a bit of a roller coaster since the release of her fourth studio album, Queen, last year.

BET has since publicly apologized for causing offense on social media but, judging from her absence from this year’s event, it wasn’t enough to resolve the situation amicably.
