Kid Cudi gave Coachella weekend two attendees a treat when he surprised fans with an appearance from Kanye West during his set Saturday night (April 20).
The two opened the set with “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” from Ye’s The Life of Pablo. Afterwards, the dynamic duo performed “Reborn” and “Freee (Ghost Town Pt. 2)” from their Kids See Ghosts collab album, and Yeezy performed “Ghost Town” from his 2018 album, Ye. Kanye looked energetic and happy on stage, especially during the performance of “Freee,” when he did running jumps from each end of the stage.
Ty Dolla $ign and 070 Shake also made appearances during Cudi’s set.
Fans of West and Cudi are getting ready for Sunday Service live from Coachella. West has a “mountain” stage setup at the festival’s campgrounds for Sunday Service, and Coachella is providing shuttles to the performance starting at 6 am local time.
Sunday Service will also live stream on Coachella’s YouTube page.
According to YouTube, Coachella’s streaming of weekend two will “take a deep dive into the festival experience and deliver fans a slate of original content,” including encore and live performances, behind the scenes commentary by artists, mini-documentaries, and animated adventures.
YouTube added that following Yeezy’s Sunday Service, they will “keep the party going with ‘Coachella Curated,’ a first-ever curated live stream of festival performances and traveling tales from headliners and festival favorites filmed on six continents.”
Sunday Service is slated to start at 9 am PST.
