Suge Knight believes that Nipsey Hussle’s loyalty to his neighborhood led to his death, according to TMZ.
“A lot of artists like Nipsey have the same problem that I had. We are too loyal to our neighborhood,” Knight exclusively told TMZ. Knight believes that entertainers have a desire to stay in their neighborhoods after reaching success because “when you go around Hollywood it’s all watered down.”
During the chat with TMZ, Knight implied that Hussle’s friends could’ve done more to protect him. He even compared Hussle to Tupac, citing the way they both live as the reason. “I feel that Nipsey was trying to follow the same 2Pac manual to the community. He came together with YG like Snoop did with 2Pac,” Knight said.
On a positive note, Knight praised the peace march that took place last week. “What’s good is that all the hoods getting together now,” he said about the gang unity at the march. “We can be stronger considering what happens when we come together.”
Following Nipsey Hussle’s memorial at the Staples Center on Thursday (April 11), culture vultures took to eBay to place their free memorial service program for sale. The booklets were going from $100 to $500 before eBay removed the listenings from the bidding site.
“These booklets are prohibited under eBay’s policies,” a spokesperson from eBay told TMZ. “Any items that attempt to profit from human tragedy or suffering are not allowed to be sold on eBay.”
This is the second time people have tried to profit from Nipsey’s memorial service. After the free tickets to the memorial service sold out, many scalpers attempted to sell the tickets on Craiglist and eBay before the listings were removed.
