Madame Tussauds is standing behind Michael Jackson. While the late King of Pop has faced fallout across the world after the broadcast of HBO’s “Leaving Neverland” documentary, the tourist attraction has revealed it has no current plans to remove Jackson’s wax figures from public display.

On Wednesday (March 20), a spokesperson for Madame Tussauds defended their decision despite the criticism, telling TMZ, “The figures on display at Madame Tussauds reflect profiles that have had an impact on popular culture and that visitors expect to see. Michael Jackson has been and is currently a feature of Madame Tussauds attractions around the world.”

The spokesperson continued, “We regularly monitor our choice of figures on display based on external events and visitor feedback. It will be kept on display for the foreseeable future.”

In the controversial documentary, two men — James Safechuck and choreographer Wade Robson — allege Jackson molested them while they were young. Jackson’s estate has filed a $100 million lawsuit against HBO claiming it violated a 1992 contract which prohibits the network from making “any disparaging remarks” about Jackson “or do any act that may harm or disparage or cause to lower in esteem the reputation or public image” of the “Dirty Diana” singer.

Several radio stations have already banned Jackson’s hits from their stations after the disturbing allegations. An episode of “The Simpsons” featuring Jackson was also pulled from broadcast and streaming services after the series creator, executive producer, and showrunner watched the film.

On Friday (March 15), it was reported that Jackson’s kids are also considering taking legal action against the two male accusers featured in the Dan Reed-directed film. Jackson’s daughter, Paris, was reportedly hospitalized on Saturday (March 16) after a suicide attempt. The 20-year-old model and actress has vehemently denied reports that she was distraught by the recent backlash her late father has received in light of recent events. Jackson’s family has denounced the documentary as a whole.
