Iggy Azalea recently experienced one of the downsides of fame, namely in that her celebrity has inspired someone to anonymously mail her an unfortunately bizarre and disgusting care package.
Taking to social media on Thursday (March 14), the 28-year-old reacted to the news that someone sent her a vial of semen in the mail.
“Someone sent a [vial] of semen in the mail and the office assistant had to unknowingly open the package. I – Who – FBI!!!,” Azalea wrote in the rapper wrote in a since-deleted tweet, adding the throwing up emoji.
She then added, “We have your DNA! Idiot. Hope you like the sex offenders registry. Anyway dry hurling subject change? PLEASE.”
Although the tweet has since been deleted, a fan account has preserved the rapper’s reaction in the form of a screenshot. While it is unclear if the rapper will be pursuing any legal action against the sender of the atypical package, she certainly didn’t shy away from expressing how the situation had undeniably grossed her out.
As pointed out by Page Six, Azalea is not the only celebrity who has been sent a similar lude surprise. BAck in 2017, actress Tricia Helfer admitted that she once was sent a syringe filled with sperm in the mail by a fan who suggested they start a family together.
Later on in the day, Azalea appeared to shake off the situation and returned to promoting her new music. Most recently, the rapper released a new video for her track, “Sally Walker,” which marks the first single off her upcoming album, In My Defense. The project, which is set to arrive sometime later this year, will serve as her first since her highly publicized departure from Island Records.
