Lil Baby has been arrested for reckless driving, according to TMZ.

On Thursday (Feb. 7), the “Drip Too Hard” rapper was forced out of his car on a highway in Atlanta and handcuffed by police. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that Lil Baby was cited for “failure to signal, eluding police and reckless driving.”

Fan captured video from the arrest shows the Atlanta native pinned down to the ground by a police officer in the middle of the road as sirens blare in the background. His orange Corvette is not too far behind.

Lil Baby was released from custody shortly after posting bail. Footage shows the rapper exiting the Atlanta City Detention Center and getting inside of a Porsche immediately after his release. He took to Instagram to address the incident, writing, “Fuck The Police Who Be On That Bullshit, Shoutout To The Ones Who Get You Thru The Process ASAP.”

The 24-year-old also alluded to his arrest on his Instagram Stories with a post, writing, “If you go on [a] high speed chase or if they think you running protocol is to approach vehicle guns drawn to Kill That’s Crazyyyyyy.”

Fans are rejoicing his swift return. Lil Baby has quickly made a name for himself in the hip hop community over the last year. He released two mixtapes, Drip Harder and Street Gossip, in 2018 and debuted within the top five on the Billboard 200 albums chart. His singles, “Yes Indeed” featuring Drake and “Drip Too Hard” with Gunna also shot up the Billboard Hot 100 chart peaking at No. 6 and No. 4, respectively.

In January, Lil Baby announced his upcoming “The New Generation Tour.” The tour will feature rappers Blueface and City Girls as openers and span across 25 venues. Fans can get tickets by visiting the tour’s website here.
