J. Cole may be more than a decade deep into his career at this point. But, he still has plenty of commercial milestones left to collect and celebrate.

As reported by Billboard, the rapper’s latest single, “Middle Child,” has officially become his highest charting track to date. The song, which marks his first loose single release since 2013, has climbed its way to the No. 4 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. The T-Minus produced track initially debuted at No. 26.

The North Carolina native’s previous career-best was KOD‘s “ATM,” which went on to hit No. 6 on the chart back in May 2018.

For those interested, Cole’s “Middle Child” also marks the highest-chartest single with the word “middle” in its title, as well as the eight song to reach the Hot 100’s top five with the word “child” in the title. The more you know, right?

Recently, Cole was announced as one of the headlining acts of the 2019 NBA All-Star game, which is set to take place on Sunday, Feb. 17 in Charlotte. The news arrives after he and the Dreamville camp wrapped their invite-only recording sessions for the label’s upcoming compilation, Revenge of the Dreamers III.

The project, which finished recording in January, is set for release sometime this year. In addition to featuring contributions from the label’s roster, which includes J.I.D, EarthGang, Ari Lennox and more, a slew of guest appearances are rumored, as well. Artists such as T.I., DJ Khaled, Ludacris, Rick Ross and Wale made it known on social media that they were also summoned by Cole to drop by and participate in the safeguarded sessions.

J. Cole also recently vocalized his support for collaborator 21 Savage, who was arrested by ICE over the weekend for being an alleged illegal immigrant.

“Praying for 21 savage let that man be with and provide for his kids,” Cole wrote, sharing his support on Twitter.
