Blueface has been arrested for felony gun possession, according to TMZ.
Around 7 pm local time on Friday (Feb. 1), the Cash Money West rapper was in downtown Los Angeles when police received a call about “rappers in the area” flashing jewelry and large amounts of money.
Reportedly, police were worried because of a large amount of alleged gang-related robberies in the area as of late and felt like Blueface and his crew were easy targets.
Once LAPD arrived on the scene, Blueface and his entourage allegedly scattered and tossed their weapons while attempting to flee the police. However, Blueface along with two others were seized. Cops discovered loaded firearms during the search and Blueface was booked on gun possession. He was released shortly after posting $35,000 bail.
Following the arrest, Blueface posted the video of him getting arrested with the caption, “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.”
This isn’t Blueface’s first run-in with the law. Back in November 2018, he was arrested in Santa Clarita Valley after “a dispute” between Blueface and another person at a gas station resulted in a shooting. Blueface was charged with shooting at an occupied vehicle, which is a felony in California, and released on $50,000 bail.
Blueface has started 2019 with major buzz thanks to his YG-assisted single “Thotiana (Remix),” which is currently No. 66 on the Billboard Hot 100. After dropping his mixtape Famous Cryp, which features the original version of “Thotiana,” Blueface linked with Wack 100 and signed to Cash Money West in November 2018. Blueface has received a cosign from artists like French Montana and Drake over the last year, and in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club Blueface confirmed that he and Drake have collaborated on a song for his upcoming album.
