It has essentially become a major flex for people to book famed performers for lavish personal parties, such as the time Cardi B performed at a bar mitzvah earlier this year or the time Trippie Redd performed at a fan’s 15th birthday. However, a recent pre-wedding bash in India upped the ante by securing a performance from none other than Beyoncé.
As reported, Beyoncé performed at a pre-wedding event on Dec. 9 in Udaipur with the private concert being organized for Isha Ambani, the daughter of India’s richest man, Mukesh Ambani. Mukesh is the chairman of Reliance Industries, pulling in a net worth of a reported $43 billion.
Sources claim that guests were taken to the private event in chartered jets, as well as accessed the festivities related to the wedding through a custom app. John Legend was also tapped to perform at the couple’s engagement party.
Additionally, Beyoncé reportedly went all in during the performance, essentially recreating her On The Run II tour (minus JAY-Z), and sealing the deal with dancers and a live band.
While it was not revealed what Beyoncé’s pay was for the luxurious affair, it’s safe to say the 27-year-old bride and 33-year-old groom, Anand Piramal, made an investment they are happy with. Their actual wedding is scheduled to take place on Tuesday (Dec. 11), following a weekend of pre-wedding rituals and celebrations.
Naturally, members of the #BeyHive took to Twitter to wonder about what it would be like to book Queen Bey for their weddings and, well, just how wealthy one has to be to make it happen.
