After experiencing some scheduling issues that caused him to miss some past court dates, 6ix9ine finally appeared before a judge on Wednesday (Nov. 14). The controversial New York rapper reportedly entered a guilty plea that dropped the misdemeanor assault charge he was facing, which stemmed from a May 2018 arrest, down to disorderly conduct.

As such, 6ix9ine won’t see any jail time. But, under the conditions of the plea, he must stay out of trouble for a year. If he has another run in with the law, the rapper will be facing possible time behind bars.

In May, the rapper was arrested for driving with a suspended license. During the arrest, he allegedly squeezed the arresting officer’s hand so hard, it bruised and led to the additional charge. Back in October, he was told by another ruling judge to stay out of trouble after being sentenced to four years of probation and being ordered to perform 1,000 hours of community service. In addition to dodging jail time for both instances, 6ix9ine was also told that he was prohibited from participating in or associating with any gang activity.

Last week, gunfire interrupted a planned music video shoot where 6ix9ine was filming alongside Kanye West for a collaboration with Nicki Minaj. While Minaj was not onset at the time of the shooting, her dressing room window was shattered by one of the bullets. While no one was hurt as a result of the shooting, the failed music video project reportedly cost Universal Music Group nearly half a million dollars.

Similarly, Chief Keef was also able to cop a plea deal today. He was arrested in April 2017 when he was pulled over after being suspected of participating in a drug deal. After being arrested, it was reported that he had tested positive for over eight drugs including morphine, marijuana, codeine and more.

As reported by TMZ, Sosa has negotiated a plea deal that will let him avoid jail time. His felony DUI charge has been reduced to reckless driving. Per the plea deal, Keef will serve six months of probation, during which he is forbidden to use any intoxicant substances. He will perform 50 hours of community service.

Looks like luck (and excellent lawyers) were on both 6ix9ine and Chief Keef’s sides today.
