Love is in the air for super producer DJ Mustard and Chanel Thierry because the hip hop DJ popped the question to his longtime love, over the weekend!

Video that’s since spread across social media over the past couple of days show the two lovebirds at a party. Then, out of nowhere, viewers of the clip saw the producer get down on one knee, look Thierry lovingly in the eyes, and hold up a ring box that held a beautiful — and big, might we add — engagement ring. Almost immediately, Mustard’s now-fiancée started crying.

There were family and friends all around them at this moment. They, too, were cheering and jumping for joy for the couple. The clip ended with Thierry hugging Mustard and then flossing her rock. The new fiancée later spoke about the big moment on Instagram.

“I knew when I met you at 16, it was something about you about us, I didn’t want to mess up. You stayed my friend even tho we both wanted to be more… We was scared,” she started her post. “Finally after 3 years we decided to take a step out on fate, and date. When I got pregnant with Kiy I was so scared, you told me ‘I got you, I got us.’”

Thierry continued: “THIS moment was everything. Our kids reaction, our family and friends… I couldn’t have dreamed of a better moment. I love you… 8 years I’m still in love, still will hop out of a trunk on that ass if u think about not talking to me 😂😂😂 (true story, ask Yg! I had them niggas shook) Moral of the story I’m so excited for this next chapter! Even Mustard couldn’t hold back his excitement about the proposal. Posting multiple photos of his soon-to-be wife on IG, he said, “She said yes … 8 years since we had kiy … so I got 8 carats for each year and that’s just the center stone the rings a total of 18 carats … #shouldawenttoelliot shout my brother @eliantte btw she slept in the ring last night lmao 😂😂😂😂.” Peep that note below.
