Cardi B has been making all sorts of headlines lately, whether in regard to her recent arrest, her incredible fashion taste or for her altercation with Nicki Minaj.

However, while the Bronx rapper recently turned herself into authorities to face possible charges stemming from a fight that broke out at a strip club earlier this summer, she’s already getting back to business.

Recently, Cardi made history once again, becoming the first female rapper to top Spotify’s Global Top 50 list. The impressive milestone is the result of the growing success of her new track, “Taki Taki,” which includes production from DJ Snake and contributions from Selena Gomez and Ozuna.

Additionally, to celebrate another win for the women creators, Ella Mai is also dominating the charts, with her “Boo’d Up” anthem setting a new record for the most weeks at No. 1 of any song by a woman on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart.

The record was previously held by Mary J. Blige’s 2006 single, “Be Without You,” which remained on the chart for 15 weeks straight. Miguel leads the category, however, with his track “Adorn” sitting atop the chart for 23 weeks straight in 2012-2013.

With fast-rising momentum on her side, the British singer-songwriter is gearing up to drop her debut self-titled album, set to be released on Oct. 12.
