After serving seven months behind bars, Kodak Black is eager to get back to the music.

The Florida rapper, who was initially sentenced to a year-long bid for violating the terms of his probation, was released a couple weeks ago (Aug. 18) as part of a plea deal. Not only that but new reports from The Blast claim that his probation case has officially been closed.

According to the report, documents were filed earlier this week (Aug. 27) based on a recommendation from the Department of Corrections to terminate his probation, making him a completely free man.

With the charges associated from his chaotic January arrest being dropped, his early release from prison and his probation now reportedly being terminated, Kodak certainly has a lot to celebrate, choosing to focus on getting back into the studio and with a high profile collaborator at that.

Taking to Instagram, Bruno Mars shared what he’s been up to lately, revealing the interesting news that he and none other than Kodak Black have been in the studio together. Talk about a wildcard update for both parties!

While details regarding what they are working on are still unknown, with Bruno providing fans with a contemplative emoji as the only explanation, it’s always great to see two artists from completely different walks of life finding a creative common ground. We trust they have something special in store.
