After a series of delays, Post Malone’s long-awaited sophomore album was finally released this week (April 27).
The project, titled beerbongs & bentleys, arrives two years after he made his landmark debut with Stoney, which featured his 2015 breakout single “White Iverson.”
According to ChartData, Post’s second album is already eligible for platinum certification, impressively moving over 1,000,000 equivalent album units in its first 24 hours out. The RIAA has yet to make it official.
Leading up to the highly anticipated release, the Texan transplant dropped a handful of singles, including the undeniable 21 Savage-assisted banger “rockstar” and the Ty Dolla $ign collab “Psycho.”
The album spans 18 tracks and features an array of guest artists, such as Nicki Minaj (“Ball For Me”), Swae Lee (“Spoil My Night”), G-Eazy and YG (“Same Bitches”).
According to Spotify, the project has already broken its first-day streaming numbers record, impressively racking up 78,744,748 international streams and 47,930,039 streams in the U.S.
Fans will have ample opportunity to catch Post perform his latest material live this summer, with the rhymesinger currently on tour with 21 Savage. Additionally, next month, both artists will be making a pitstop to perform at the 2018 Rolling Loud festival in Miami.
