Upon getting caught up in a cheating scandal last year, Kevin Hart found himself the butt of many jokes. One comedian in particular that went in on the Jumanji star is Michael Blackson. In response to Blackson’s jokes, Kevin compared his former friend to an “Instagram model that just shows her ass looking for likes” during his last visit to The Breakfast Club.
But the original motha sucka is denying that allegation. “I didn’t do that because I don’t fuck with him,” Blackson explained while sitting with Angela Yee, Charlamagne tha God and DJ Envy this morning. “I did it because that is what I do. I roast niggas that fuck up.”
When he wasn’t cracking jokes at Hart’s expense, Blackson also spoke on his love for Philadelphia and unveiled that he has an upcoming comedy special.
On ridiculing Kevin Hart’s cheating scandal: First of all, that’s what Michael Blackson do. Michael Blackson makes fun of everybody from Bill Cosby to Birdman when he came here.
On his history with Hart: Me and Kev go way back. We all been locked up together before. When I went to do the movie Next Friday, Kevin Hart drove me to the airport for my audition back in ‘99. We were niggas at one point. I don’t know what happened. I don’t know where the fallout happened.
On Philadelphia: I moved to Philly the summer of 1989. Kevin was probably in diapers. I was probably one of the original Philadelphia comedians. When you go back to Comic View from back in the day, it would say, ‘Originally from West Africa, but now raised in Philly, Michael Blackson.’ Philly been my home. Without Philly, I would not be doing no comedy.
On upcoming comedy special: I’m shooting it this summer. I’m going to shoot it in Philly. This is how it works. I’m going to shoot it and then I’m going to sell it to [Netflix]. If they don’t give me the right money, I’m going to hold on to it until the right money comes.
