Last May, Diddy was crowned the wealthiest in hip-hop by Forbes. But JAY-Z has since swiped the seat out from under him.

On Forbes newest list, ‘Hip-Hop’s Wealthiest of 2018,’ JAY takes the top spot upon increasing his net worth from $810 million to $900 million over the past year.

The magazine credits the uptick to JAY’s “rising value of his interests in Armand de Brignac champagne and D’Ussé cognac, on top of nine-figure ownership stakes in his Roc Nation empire and Tidal streaming service.”

It’s JAY’s first time sitting at the list’s peak. Dr. Dre, Drake, and Eminem round out the Top 5 (with the latter two tied at $100 million a piece.)
