Though the movie is still days away from its release, Black Panther’s soundtrack is already about to make its mark.
According to Billboard, the star-studded, Kendrick Lamar-curated compilation is set to hit No.1 on next week’s albums chart upon moving over 100,000 equivalent album units.
Prior to its release on February 9, fans had heard a few soundtrack cuts: “All the Stars” featuring SZA; “King’s Dead” from Jay Rock and Future; and “Pray For Me” with The Weeknd. All the tracks, like every other on the album, featured Kendrick.
He took to Twitter over the weekend (February 11) to show respect to and thank the project’s fellow artists, producers, and collaborators.
