Last month, REVOLT TV shared that Anderson .Paak’s teased project was one of our Most Anticipated Albums of 2018. And it looks like we might just get our wish.

The multi-talent recently told Triple J that not only can we expect it this year, but that his Aftermath Entertainment label boss had a hand in its development. .Paak said:

“[Dr. Dre] had a heavy role in this new album that’s almost done as well. Just going through the mixing phase. I won’t say any dates but you can definitely expect it this year, sometime. It’s dope to be around like legends like that and you can feel the mutual respect. That’s what I always did it for, I wasn’t really thinking about money or fame, I just wanted the respect from the people I look up to musically. It’s amazing.”

Additionally, .Paak’s backing band The Free Nationals, who promised their debut album last year, may finally be making good on their word as guitarist Jose Rios also told Triple J:

“It’s almost done. Next couple of months it should be out… before [June/July]. We’re putting the finishing touches on it right now.”

They also shared for the first time the project’s featured guests: Mac Miller, Daniel Caesar, Kali Uchis (and possibly T.I. and Unknown Mortal Orchestra).
