While Philadelphia has every right to be geeked over the Eagles’ first ever, and well deserved, win at last night’s Super Bowl LII, the rest of us are geeking the fuck out over the debut teaser for Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The teaser for Solo premiered last night, offering no more than cool shots of the film’s stars in a galaxy we are all too familiar with, promising that a full teaser would be released via ABC’s Good Morning America, today (February 5).

Described as a space western, the film will depict the younger days of Han Solo (portrayed by Alden Ehrenreich), exploring the smuggler’s relationship with his loyal friend Chewbacca and fellow criminal Lando Calrissian.

Filling in for Billy Dee Williams, with a swag of his own, Donald Glover stars as Calrissian, future administrator of Cloud City. The multi-hyphenated artist, who serenaded Madison Square Garden last week with his performance of “Terrified” during the 60th Grammy Awards, has been the talk of the Internet since the teaser’s long-awaited reveal, and fans are thrilled.

Not much is revealed in the clip, which clocks in at a quarter under two minutes. However, we are offered a brief look at Lando Calrissian in his pilot chair of the Millennium Falcon with his android co-pilot L3-37. Though rather small, the brief shots serve a great reminder of the complicated friendship that Solo and Calrissian share.

Even though the movie went through production difficulties, namely, the firing of directing duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller by Lucasfilm and the last-minute replacement hiring of Ron Howard to finish the job, Solo: A Star Wars Story is expected to release on Memorial Day Weekend.
