Black History Month is a time for dedicating our energy to celebrating our roots, as we look toward the future of our existence in America. Typically, we revisit the legacy of leaders like Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Thurgood Marshall, and more who laid the ground work for the civil rights we enjoy today. However, this year feels like the dawn of a new era. Although we’re still fighting for equality in many ways, we are more educated than any generation before. Our influence on pop culture is undeniable, and we’re aware of the dollar sign that comes with that influence. We simply won’t accept less than we deserve in terms of governmental representation, and most importantly we’re united in our pursuit of the American dream.

The New Black Renaissance is upon us, and REVOLT is here to guide you through each layer of it as we unload four themed weeks full of content boasting our takeover of politics, tech, fashion, music, art, television, movies, and sports. Black history can never be forgotten, but the future of our Black America is something to be shed light on. Get ready for the #NewBlackRenaissance.
