50 Cent is continuing his decades-long streak of keeping it a buck.

During a recent appearance on Conan, he goes on to compare Donald Trump to Kanye West, a topic that he further breaks down alongside host Conan O’Brien.

Throughout the past year and change, many have remained dumbfounded regarding ‘Ye’s choice to meet with the presidential elect following a brief stint in the hospital. Given West’s reputation of being an unpredictable creator, often being referred to by his fans as a misunderstood genius, Fif’s argument is that the actions of both speak to building one’s self-esteem, but in different ways.

The topic arrives when O’Brien asks him to elaborate on what he meant when he said that he feels Trump is borrowing from rap culture when it comes to his overall attitude.

“He don’t never take responsibility for what he says,” 50 Cent begins, with a huge grin on his face. “When you say something that you know is wrong you go, ‘Uh-oh.’ Like, ‘I ain’t going to do that again. It just feels uncomfortable.’ People will be talking to you about it on social media. And Trump, he’ll say it and say, ‘That didn’t happen. Just delete it.”

From here, Fif draws the comparison of the 45th president to Kanye West.

“Like Kanye will compare himself to Steve Jobs, Picasso and, who else did he compare himself to, Michael Jackson, Michael Jordan, Walt Disney – I think this is a big part of building your self-esteem,” he explains. “It’s just built astronomically high. You see yourself as the greatest of everything – it comes from that portion of your career when nobody actually believes in it. You have to have so much confidence for it to continue to exist.”

Elsewhere throughout the interview, 50 also revisits his past commentary referring to JAY-Z’s 4:44 album as “golf course music.”

“Hip-hop culture is connected to youth culture,” Fif explains. “The maturity bled off into the material. You look and you go, ‘It’s cool for me in my car, I’m listening to it,’ but the kids…I don’t see them listening to it.”
