With a new album in the works, Dreamville’s Cozz lets us know he has questions in his latest offering. With this being the first official single off his forthcoming album EFFECTED, the LA emcee shared the following words with his fans upon the track’s reveal: “For my day ones…real rap..I got ‘questions.’ EFFECTED COMING SOON..PLAY THIS LOUD.” If you like what you hear, make sure to look out for the new project which should be arriving later in the first quarter of 2018.

2) “clementine” by quami.xyz

Toronto based musician quami.xyz shares “clementine,” the second single off his upcoming project. The heartfelt and melancholic R&B piece was recorded, mixed and mastered in his bedroom the day things ended with his ex. Get ready for all the feels.

3) “All I Need” by Anfa Rose ft Manu Crooks

Sydney-based artist, Anfa Rose joins forces with Manu Crooks on the DOPAM!NE produced single, “All I Need.” Anfa has been making waves internationally while emerging as one of Australia’s most exciting new voices. If you like what you hear, make sure to note that his EP will arrive within the next few weeks.

4) “Why” by anders

You may already know of Toronto’s anders, who released his debut EP 669 back in May 2017. On his latest FrancisGotHeat-produced offering “Why,” anders continues to prove why he’s one of Canada’s artists to watch. Bump this one when you’re in grind mode: “‘Cause I got a bag to claim / And I got M’s to make / I’m laying low workin’ hard / Why you so mad at me?”

5) “Inhale” by Aaron Camper

You may have caught Aaron Camper’s highly addictive single “High $ Habit” back in September. Now fans can look forward to his recently delivered 8-track EP Hi-DEF. Aaron’s songwriting abilities and talent to craft various sounds shine throughout each track, including the opener “Inhale.” If you’re looking for a James Fauntleroy-type vibe, this is the one to turn to. Camper’s silky vocals, paired with soft guitar strums make for a great addition to your “Chill Vibes” collection.

6) “My Town” by Malcolm Anthony

New Jersey born, LA-based artist Malcolm Anthony shares his first track of 2018, “My Town.” Catchy hooks paired with silky production provided by Pham may set this one up to be his biggest single yet.

7) “Swervin’” by Lonny X

Connecticut’s promising young talent Lonny X teams with producer Gravez on his latest, hard-hitting single “Swervin’.” This CT native is something to pay attention to, so if you’re feeling this track make sure to take a listen to this recently released debut full-length album Full Court Press (January 12).

8) “High Like This” by Kevin George

You don’t want to miss out on the infectious, debut single “High Like This” by 20-year-old artist Kevin George. This one has chill vibes written all over it and comes from his upcoming debut project, LOVELAND. Speaking more about the song and how it came to be, Kevin shares: “‘High Like This’ came to me during a dark time in my life. It felt like my world was closing in on me. This girl turned me down and that’s what came out.”

9) “bounce” by benny mayne

Emerging Toronto-based singer and songwriter benny mayne gives listeners a night of sensual fun with his debut single “bounce.” With a unique sound influenced by pop, RnB and hip-hop, there’s much more to look forward to on his forthcoming releases. Shared monthly via EMPIRE, you can expect to hear collaborations with Grammy-nominated and multi-platinum producers such as Williedonut, Sadmoney, Rock Mafia, Justice League and more.

10) “Marbled” by Abhi The Nomad

Abhi The Nomad’s name tells it all. Born in Madras, India, the artist lived between Beijing, Hong Kong and New Delhi, India before landing in Southern California with a student visa. Blending hip-hop, electronic, jazz and more in his latest, catchy offering “Marbled,” Abhi shares the tale of “isolation, addiction and constant change.” If you’re a fan of the track, keep your eyes peeled for his debut album dropping February 9th.

11) “Tangier” by Anfa Rose

Sydney-based hip-hop artist Anfa Rose releases his new 6-track EP today (January 24). Throughout She Been Waiting II Anfa showcases his versatility, which you’ll observe within the first few seconds of the project opener “Tangier.” Providing more detail on the Spanish-influenced track, Anfa explains: “[I’ve] been trying to develop a sound with Tony (DOPAM!NE) that represents my Mediterranean/North African Roots in a more digestible format for a Western 21st Century listener. “Tangier” is just the first efforts of this sound, and we plan on taking it much further. Directly, “Tangier” came out of a period in time I was reading Albert Camus’ “Summer in Algiers,” so I suppose that probably played a role in influencing the subject matter.”

12) “EVRY THNG NVV” by .Peter $un

Following the release of his “UDNTKNWME” music video, Richmond, VA native .Peter $un continues his 2018 campaign with the release of his infectious single “EVRY THNG NVV.” The Lasik Beats produced track is a catchy one, so you may just find yourself hitting the replay button a few times.
