Eminem has experienced plenty of “firsts” throughout the duration of his career the past two decades.
Following the December release of his ninth studio album, Revival, the veteran rapper became the first artist to land eight consecutive No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200. However, the Detroit MC isn’t quite done making history just yet.
As reported, Eminem has assumed the top position on the Billboard Artist 100 chart for the first time in his career, stemming from the success of Revival, which ended up debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 despite leaking two days ahead of schedule.
Per Billboard, the Artist 100 chart “measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.”
Only four other rappers have topped the Artist 100 chart this year, with Em joining the likes of JAY-Z, Kendrick Lamar, Future and Drake.
Congrats to Eminem on garnering yet another W to end 2017 on a strong note.
