Less than two weeks ago, rising rapper Lil Peep died at the age of 21 of a suspected drug overdose. Now, police in Tuscon, Arizona are investigating the possibility that the opioid fentanyl played a role in his death, according to TMZ.

On November 15, Peep was found dead on a tour bus before a scheduled show in Tucson and, at the time, a police department spokesman said that officers found evidence suggesting he had died of a Xanax overdose. However, final toxicology reports will not be available for several weeks.

TMZ reports that cops are now launching an investigation into fentanyl after “receiving multiple tips” that Peep acquired “incredibly toxic drugs laced with the potent opioid.”

Fentanyl also contributed to the overdose death of Prince.
