Social media mogul and entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk has partnered with KSWISS to deliver two signature sneakers, the Gen-K Knit and the Court Frasco. He visited The Breakfast Club to talk about the collaboration, and while there, he also discussed his connection to hip-hop, mental health and President Trump.

“Can you believe that entrepreneurs now can have sneakers?” asked Gary Vaynerchuk as he held one of his KSWISS designs.

Gary’s teachings continue to resonate with many members of the hip-hop community. He credited his from nothing to something story, as well as the culture’s ability to spot authenticity, for why an urban audience has gravitated towards his way of thought. “I just think cultures understand cultures,” he said. “And what’s great about hip hop and other sub-cultures is regardless of what the person looks like, if the truth is there, it’s always going to expect it.”

During his sitdown with Angela Yee, DJ Envy and Charlamagne tha God, Vaynerchuk offered his thoughts on whether or not money can affect mental health. “Of course, I believe there is a direct correlation,” he stated. “If your operating system is not right, if you’re brain is not right – nothing else is going to be right.”

Although some financial forecasters have projected that the U.S. could be in a recession in the near future, due in part to Donald Trump being president, Gary sees it otherwise. “This guy is not going by to let it happen on his watch. He’ll mortgage the next 50 generations to make sure that the economy is good on his watch,” he stated.
