T-Pain is now just under a week away from releasing his fifth studio album, OBLiViON, and to celebrate the date fast approaching, he has dropped off a third promotional single.
The Florida native’s new song, “Textin’ My Ex,” dives into quite the relatable territory, with T-Pain reflecting on the implications and temptations that come with texting or reaching out to an ex.
The track, which features singer Tiffany Evans, follows the previously released songs “Goal Line” featuring Blac Youngsta and “F.B.G.M.” featuring Young M.A.
“You don’t even know right now / I’m staring at my phone right now / Wondering if I should call you or leave you ‘lone right now,” he sings, opening the track. “I’m in my zone right now / I’m just, chilling at home right now / Shots of Patron right now / I should put my phone right down /But girl, I’m so alone right now.”
Yup, been there.
T-Pain’s OBLiViON is slated for a Nov. 17 release. Check out the latest single from the album below.
