Doughboy Roc, a member of the Detroit rap group and former Young Jeezy signees Doughboyz Cashout, has died after being shot on the west side of Detroit. He was 29 years old.
Detroit News reports that Doughboy Roc was shot in his ear and shoulder on Monday afternoon around 3:30 p.m., while parked in a Hyundai SUV. Police are still investigating, but haven’t found suspects or motives.
Hours later, mourners of Doughboy Roc, born Rodney Jenkins, were in the neighborhood. Doughboy Roc was a member of Doughboyz Cashout, a four-man group of rappers who were signed to Young Jeezy’s CTE World label. Roc himself was a standout member, and he had just released a project in September called Roc Vs Balboa that is still available on streaming services.
