Cleveland-based rapper and Freebandz signee Doe Boy has a story to tell that sounds like something straight from an urban cult classic. After catching the eye of Freebandz founder Future while sending out music on the internet, Doe Boy was signed to the musical imprint. With big career plans in the works, and a new team to build with, everything was looking great for Doe Boy until he ran into some trouble in his hometown of Cleveland and was sentenced to 18 months in prison for aggravated armed robbery.
Shortly after the completion of his prison sentence, Doe Boy returned to finish building his musical legacy as right before his bid, he’d released the much-anticipated, Lex Luger- and Zaytoven-produced mixtape In Freebandz We Trust. Now, after releasing several solo singles, the second installment of his series has arrived. ‘In Freebandz We Trust 2‘ is an 18-track release featuring Chicago’s own Lil Durk, Future, DJ Esco and more.

In an interview with REVOLT TV, Doe Boy said about the project, “I feel like this my best work up to date, so I need everybody to tune in and really understand what is really going on.”
The rapper also discussed building his career back up after prison and his relationship with Future, saying, “I caught him at the right time…I wanted to be a part of what he had going on. I wanted to be a part of his brand….You can’t be putting out music and be like, ‘Oh, I’m tryna get this person’s attention. It ain’t gon’ never work like that. It gotta be organic. It gotta just happen naturally.”
