Last week, Young Dolph fans held their breath anxiously and collectively, following the news the rapper was shot in Hollywood, Calif.
While he is recovering in the hospital, the Memphis artist took to Twitter for the first time since the shooting to say a hello to fans and let everyone know he’s doing alright.

The greeting, which was adorned with ample dolphin emojis and arrived in the middle of the night on Saturday (Sept. 30), was a simple but effective method of reassurance, with the rapper writing, “Its DOLPH!”
As previously reported, the rapper got into an argument outside The Shoe Palace in Los Angeles that escalated into a physical altercation prior to ending in a shooting that nearly took Dolph’s life. After undergoing surgery, the rapper was downgraded to stable condition and is still in the hospital recovering.
One suspect, Cory McClendon, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder but has since been released without charges. McClendon is an affiliate of Yo Gotti, with fans weighing in on social media to assess their own take regarding if the shooting was a result of previous beef between the two rappers.
At the time of this report, the investigation remains ongoing.
