Gucci Mane’s recent transformation is hard to ignore, and even harder not to praise.

As fans can attest, the career of the Alabama-born, Atlanta-based heavyweight is like that of a movie, and now, with the help of author Neil Martinez-Belkin, his untold story will finally be documented outside of his music. In fact, the saga of the beloved rapper is so epic, his memoir has warranted its own visual trailer to help build anticipation.

As previously reported, the Autobiography of Gucci Mane will hit stores on September 19, four days after his next album, Mr. Davis, is slated to drop. Needless to say, Guwop season is once again fast-approaching.

During the trailer, which was put together by Cam Kirk, one of contemporary hip-hop’s most reputed photographers, archive photos preview what will be discussed in depth during the autobiography, with the book taking it back to the rapper’s early days as a kid, his come-up in Atlanta, his time in prison and what led him to changing his lifestyle following his May 2016 release.

“I felt like I had to be the voice for them,” La Flare can be heard saying in the trailer. “I feel like a lot of the mistakes I’ve made, I can’t make them mistakes no more.”

With the Brick Squad boss completely turning his life around the past year, from losing weight to getting sober to building his empire with Keyshia Ka’oir, there is a lot of inspiration to be found in the tale of Guwop as it continues to unfold. Suffice to say, this book is soon to be required reading upon its September 19 release.
