They have different goals and aspirations. They lie and withhold truths from one another. One was even forced to rob the other. But, for better or worse, when it really comes down to life or death (or prison), Power‘s two underworld protagonist characters Jamie “Ghost” St. Patrick and childhood best friend Tommy Egan have each other’s backs.
Over the past four seasons, we’ve seen “Ghost” (Omari Hardwick) and Tommy (Joseph Sikora) on the outs and at odds at times—hell, Tommy’s girlfriend even took a hit out on “Ghost” without him knowing—but what fans love best is when the two are on the same page, either working their way out of jeopardy or plotting against a common adversary. Just this past Sunday (August 13), they finally wiped out corrupt lawman Mike Sandoval (David Fumero).
Sikora says he’s no different than Power‘s aggressive following: he likes it best when Ghost and Tommy are in sync, too.
“When we’re almost friends, that’s what I like better,” Sikora told REVOLT TV about his on-screen preference. “Starsky and Hutch. That’s what I like better. [Omari is] a fantastically talented actor. I always have a good time with him. I think we play really well off each other in the moment because we both work very similarly.”
Power has two remaining episodes this season. The series airs on Sunday nights at 9 pm on STARZ.
