It hasn’t been a full decade, but Onika Maraj, better known as Nicki Minaj, has done everything from snatching up the crown to setting new records and giving a facelift to the male dominated rap world industry a facelift. Now she has the keys… to Queens.

Adding a new set of keys to her chain of feats, Nicki has been gifted the symbolic key to her native New York City borough in commemoration of her musical achievements. Melinda Katz, Queens Borough President, awarded the coveted symbol to the rap giant, who consistently puts on for her city on each and every occasion. Back in March, Nicki represented for her borough via an exclusive Tidal playlist dedicated to “all the Queens artists from every decade reppin!”

Although she wasn’t able to be awarded the key in person, the “No Frauds” rapper thanked Katz on social media for the honor and making her a “Proud Queens Girl.”
