Maybe this is what Tyler, the Creator has been up to.
After quietly being replaced by Run the Jewels at Miami’s Rolling Loud music festival this past weekend, and then cancelling his European tour dates without explanation, it has just been announced that the Odd Future member is getting his own television show.
Airing on Viceland, the show will be called Nuts and Bolts and will premiere August 3. Tyler’s music collective confirmed the news yesterday (May 8) via Twitter with a promotional photo.
Though the ad didn’t provide much information, when Wall Street Journal reporter Lara O’Reilly attended the Viceland presentation at the Digital Content NewsFronts event last week, she tweeted some details about the upcoming show, writing that it would be “about Tyler the Creator finding out how things are made.”
If the show’s title sounds familiar, it’s because a behind-the-scenes package—released last year via Tyler’s Golf Media app—that explored the making of Tyler’s “Fucking Young” music video boasted the same branding.
