Sosa As advertised. Kodak Black and Kevin Gates may have missed this year’s Rolling Loud music festival because they were in jail, but the threat of being put behind bars didn’t stop Chief Keef. The Chicago rapper had an arrest warrant issued earlier this week after he failed to appear in a Miami court for DUI and weed possession charges, yet still got onstage and rocked this afternoon at Bayfront Park.

“They said you wasn’t going to make it out this muthafucka!” Keef’s DJ said early on in the set. The Chief seemed oblivious. So did the police on hand at the festival grounds. Keef and company performed for around an hour with no incident.

Chief Keef leads a Miami crowd through “Don’t Like” at Rolling Loud

“This is the part of the show where it gets crazy,” the DJ said about three quarters into the performance before cueing up “Don’t Like.” This caused many fans to stand on their seats. “Sosa” was an even more powerful follow-up, and the energy got even crazier on “Earned It.”

A fitting finale was “Faneto,” where Keef raps about fleeing from federal agents and threatens to put his enemies in so much jeopardy that they would have to run to the police for help.

“I’m a gorilla in a fuckin’ coupe, finna pull up to the zoo, nigga,” the audience rapped along. “Who nigga? Who the fuck is you? I don’t know, nigga./No, nigga, pull up on your block, we gon’ blow, nigga./Go, nigga, run, nigga, run for the po’, nigga./Gas what I smoke nigga./Feds at my door, jump out the window, nigga.”

Chief Keef is one of dozens of performers at Miami’s sold out Rolling Loud music festival from May 5-7, which REVOLT TV is exclusively live streaming here. Follow along at #RollingLoud3 on Twitter.
