By now you’ve likely heard that Travis Scott’s show at New York’s Terminal 5 on Sunday (April 30) was one for the history books.

The concert made headlines after several fans jumped from the venue’s indoor balconies to the main floor below, some at the encouragement and pressure from the rapper himself, and at least one to his own injury.

In one clip (see below), Scott can be heard egging on a dangling fan dressed in black, giving him a countdown before launching back into “A-Team”:

“Turn the lights on, turn the lights on. They gon’ catch you, don’t be scared. Don’t be scared!”

In another clip (see below), Scott says to a different suspended fan, dressed in white:

“I see you. But are you gon’ do it? I ain’t gon’ lie. Turn the lights on. They gon’ catch you. Don’t be scared. Don’t be scared!”

A spokesperson for Scott has since confirmed that one of the fans suffered injury and was subsequently hospitalized. The rapper reportedly stopped the show to check in on them and allegedly offered his ring as a consolation prize (see below).

Scott’s representative has now released a statement about the incident:

“The safety of everyone is held in the highest regard and we are currently conducting an internal investigation to ensure that this does not happen again. We are deeply concerned about the guest who was injured and intend to offer him our support.”

The rapper’s team also told Pitchfork that they will remain in contact with the fan to stay up-to-date on his condition, and that an investigation is being conducted to determine if the fan jumped or was pushed.
